This month we celebrate Kakbima’s birthday. We launched the company 4 years ago with a simple idea to help build a better insurance. Over the course of this month, we’ll be looking at some of the already existing features offered on the Kakbima platform, launch new features and products that will enable insurance policyholders, agents, brokers, micro-insurers and insurers collaborate better.

Here are some hints about what to expect this year for our Birthday Month:
Week 1: We’re fundamentally changing how insurance producers and intermediaries interact with their customers.
We’re going to start the month with a number of enhancements to our customer management tools build within the Kakbima platform. We’ll roll out new functionalities so you can effectively manage and interact with both your individual and business customers without the need to leave the platform.
Week 2: Is all about insurance products
Our current focus on the platform for the past few years has been motor and motorcycle insurance products, allowing both producers and intermediaries setup different insurance products offered under the given policy classes. We’ll reflect more on this and how it affects new feature launches like quotation and automated calculation of premiums for your customers. Additional enhancements will also be added on the product setup functionality to provide a more customized approach when setting up a product.
Week 3: Is policies week with numerous new features to help with policy management
We’ve recently been thinking about the policies management functionalities and how to best improve what we currently have to serve our producers, intermediaries and policyholders. We’ll be having numerous user experience (UX) changes with an intention to ease the policy creation and manipulation process.
Week 4: We close off the month with claims management improvements
We’ll be closing the month off with a few additions on the reporting/ filing of claims by producers and intermediaries. Feature releases to allow policyholders to also report a claim will also be part of this updates and we move towards allowing more interaction between policyholders and their underwriters.
